1.5 million views from scratch in three months on a YouTube channel for displaced women

What is the project about?
Sonya Adamska is a personal YouTube channel featuring stories of Ukrainian refugees temporarily residing in Europe (Germany, Poland, Slovakia, the Netherlands, France, etc.). The videos are designed to help viewers find useful information regarding temporary protection in the EU: housing, social benefits, education, healthcare, and current news for refugees. Tyshchuk Digital HUB took on the responsibility of developing the content strategy, promotion, and digital management for this project.
What were the goals?
Our goal for the first three months was to reach approximately 500,000 Ukrainians on YouTube and enable channel monetization.
We were tasked with building a community for Ukrainians abroad that supports, informs, and helps them adapt to current challenges.
The channel's focus was on building a subscriber base and achieving broad reach.
We also set a target of at least 250,000 views on long-form exclusive program videos on YouTube.
Here is what we did:
Phase one
Developing a YouTube growth strategy, including audience and competitor analysis, as well as visual branding.

Phase Two
YouTube channel setup: we launched and optimized the channel, integrated the host's personal Instagram to drive audience engagement, and enabled YouTube monetization within the first month.
Phase Three
Content strategy development and production refinement: we identified key topics and target regions with high concentrations of Ukrainian migrants, created a content calendar, and provided video production recommendations based on performance metrics.

Phase Four
Optimization, audience growth, and engagement: we implemented SEO strategies to improve video visibility, managed community interactions, conducted polls, launched ad campaigns, and established partnerships with national media.
Phase Five
Ongoing performance analysis of new tools. We actively tested and implemented additional promotion methods, including YouTube Shorts, cross-posting across the host's and project participants' social media channels, and continuous community management, thumbnail testing, and video optimization. We refined our promotion strategy based on the performance of these new tools.

Results and Achievements
Within three months, we exceeded our targets by double (+1 million).
We enabled YouTube channel monetization within one month.
In just 3 months, we grew the project from scratch to over 10,000 subscribers who actively watch our videos, participate in polls, and engage in the comments.
Our years of experience, application of new methodologies, and continuous content analysis generated 1.5 million views on long-form YouTube content.
